Just when it looked like WWE was trying to turn the corner by bolstering its roster with NXT call-ups and a returning Cesaro, another top-level star apparently has gone down with an injury.

Bray Wyatt reportedly has been sent home from the European tour with a leg injury, leaving the Wyatt Family with only Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman. This also comes in the midst of an apparent turn for the group, with Wyatt teaming with Roman Reigns last week to beat back the League of Nations.

There’s never a good time for an injury, but coming right at a point when Bray’s character appeared to be undergoing a significant shift is terrible for him. It’s not a lock that WWE had big plans for a face Wyatt Family, but it looked like the company was showing a renewed interest in doing something with them other than being creepy heels who lose their feuds.

It’s possible we could get an update Monday on how serious the injury is, or we could get a hint of it based on whether Bray is referenced as being involved in an upcoming angle.
