12 Conclusions From WWE RAW (June 22)

12. Kane Shouldn't Wrestle Anymore

Kane, your time is up. The Big Red Corporate Sellout has been lumbering around the squared circle looking confused for a couple of years now, maybe more, but at least the WWE Universe got to hang on to his old fire and brimstone gimmick. Now he's just an old man in suit trousers taking up the spot of a new star. It's fair enough that as part of The Authority, Kane should still be on TV in an enforcer capacity. And to run SmackDown, of course, because Hunter and Steph can't be bothered to show up. But does he really need to be wrestling full matches? Does anyone want to see Kane wrestling in 2015 when others from his era, like Undertaker, Triple H, Stone Cold, HBK are either retired or used sparingly? Granted, Seth Rollins' interference to hand Kane the win against Dean Ambrose made sense in the scheme of 'getting the band back together', but surely it could have been restricted to backstage segments.

As a long-time WWE fan, I have always enjoyed watching men pretend to beat each other up while wearing spandex. Extra points for facepaint, none for tassels. I love all things sci-fi. If there's a 'Star' somewhere in the title, I'll probably dig it. I'm a huge football fan too. For my sins, I support Manchester United.
