11. Rusev

Once upon a time, the Bulgarian Brute known as Rusev seemed within spitting distance of winning a World championship. In 2014, he left a months-long trail of battered American heroes in his wake, a reign of terror that initiated the rehabilitation of the United States Championship. Then John Cena showed up at WrestleMania 31 and John Cenaed all over the situation, and Rusev hasn't been the same since.

Although he's never reached the tank-riding heights of old, Rusev has also managed to keep from dipping below upper-midcard status, and he remains one of the most dynamic athletes currently under WWE contract. Now, with Raw and SmackDown Live! each sporting its own World championship, there's more room for a talent like Handsome Rusev to break out and reach the next level.

Plus, given the current state of U.S./Russian relations and Rusev's former gimmick as the personal champion of Vladimir Putin, the big guy could nab himself a Jinder Mahal-style out-of-nowhere title win to capitalize on real world circumstances.

Time Until Championship: 3-4 years, or until Putin invades Alaska.
