12 Current WWE Stars Who Will Win A World Title Within 5 Years
4. Samoa Joe
Until two years ago, it was inconceivable that Samoa Joe would ever appear in a WWE ring.
As of June 2017, Joe's locked in a feud with - and being treated as a massive threat to - Brock Lesnar, the most overpowered character in WWE history. Lesnar ended The Streak, retired Goldberg, broke Randy Orton's head, and beat John Cena so decisively that he hasn't had an extended World title reign in three years. The fact that the husky TNA guy is being heralded as a true threat to The Beast is a testament to Joe's skill and WWE's faith in him.
He's also no stranger to championship glory; in his near-20 year career, Joe has captured the NXT Championship, X-Division Championship, and World Championships in both TNA and Ring of Honor. Assuming WWE wants to make the most of the remainder of Joe's career - a safe assumption, given their recent handling of his character - they'll add a WWE World or Universal Championship to his long list of accolades sooner rather than later.
Time Until Championship: 1 year.
