12 (Days Of) Christmas Gifts For WWE Superstars

7. The Gift Of Staying Off-Screen For Triple H And Stephanie McMahon

In small doses, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are very effective with promos and enjoyable to watch. Yet 15 months of it, dating from Summerslam 2013, quickly became tiresome TV. The Authority was just a re-hash of previous heel bosses who made life hell for WWE babyfaces. Think Vince McMahon, Vickie Guerrero, John Laurinaitis, Eric Bischoff, William Regal and Mike Adamle (ooh, remember him?). WWE is too corporate, clean and repetitive, with no risks being taken because they€™re untouchable. They rely on recycling these authority figures and it€™s so boring. Something needs to change, just to shake things up. Team Authority lost at Survivor Series but cynics don€™t believe that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will actually leave our screens. If they €“ as well as that annoying laptop jingle €“ can stay off broadcasts for a while, that€™d be superb.
