12 Duos That Helped Changed Tag Team Wrestling Forver

4. The Dudley Boys

Despite not being your prototypical wrestlers in terms of physique or image, these two world-famous €˜brothers€™ are the single most decorated tag team in wrestling history, with 23 championship reigns in 5 different major promotions. They are also one of the most innovative tag teams in hardcore wrestling history, and were the catalysts in making weapons-based tag team wrestling more than just a subculture of pro wrestling, but as a modern art form. If you were to look back on their performances in WWE between 1999 and 2001, they were constantly getting some of the loudest reactions from the crowd. What they lacked in technique or the mastery of ring psychology of their predecessors, they made up in using exciting (and at times hilarious) tag team maneuvers, as well as very liberal use of tables. Not only did the Dudley Boys excel as either face or heel wrestlers, but they also had great tag team chemistry and an impressive work ethic that made them one of the most most-see teams during WWE€™s peak years in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The Dudleys arguably of the most innovative tag team and hardcore wrestlers of all time, and were absolute geniuses when it came to garnering a reaction from the crowd, whether positive or negative. It also helps that they had the best tag team finisher (the 3D), and one of the best catchphrases ever: D-VON€.GET THE TABLES!
