12 Early Predictions For WWE WrestleMania 35

6. Braun Strowman Vs. Roman Reigns - Universal Title Match

Surely - surely - Vince McMahon cannot allow himself to think Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar IV is something anybody wishes to see in the MetLife stadium.

The visual of Roman, hoisted on the shoulders of Vince and Sika in the foreground of an empty stadium, isn't beyond satire. Roman was already dead before Vince inexplicably killed him. From passionate protest at WrestleMania 31 to pure apathy at WrestleMania 34, genuine revolt is the natural evolution.

Tellingly, Reigns and Braun Strowman are poles apart in both popularity and the onscreen RAW narrative. After almost exhausting the rivalry in 2017, WWE has eased off the pairing this year - potentially with WrestleMania 35 on the horizon. Reigns and Strowman share an ineffable in-ring chemistry similar to that of Batista and The Undertaker; their matches felt like blockbuster events wrestled with the sort of frenzied energy one wouldn't have expected on paper. Perennial rivals, WrestleMania 35 is the stage on which to resume the legacy rivalry.

To repeat the refrain, surely - surely - Braun Strowman cannot cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase opposite a weakened opponent. It would betray the character far more than dressing him as Will Ferrel's Elf ever did.

With WWE curiously unwilling to protect their most protected investment, an on-paper all-babyface Clash of the Titans may yet see Sika become the Pete Rose of the PG Era.
