5. Multi-Man United States Title Ladder Match

In order to determine who makes up the multi-man midcard gold Ladder Match bound to make its return next year, the cynical route is the fastest: which members of the roster are closest to relevance now, and thus won't be in the early months of 2019?

Rusev won't reach the heights of Money In The Bank again in 2019; given the Zack Ryder rule, it's borderline miraculous that he is where he is now.

Shinsuke Nakamura failed to capture the WWE Championship as either a babyface or a heel. He isn't considered main event material, despite having finally grasped the mode of sports entertainment character work.

Cesaro and Sheamus are bound to split eventually, with their personal rivalry being absorbed into a multi-man match a distinct possibility already realised by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 32 and Sasha Banks and Bayley at WrestleMania 34.

Randy Orton is always there, ready to RKO an opponent or two off a ladder before not factoring into the finish.

Shelton Benjamin is prime fodder, whose experience of ritually losing such matches will somehow compel WWE to spin it as a positive, like he is WWE's version of Joe Hart.

And, finally, Vince McMahon might get a kick out of instructing a road agent to devise a brutal bump with which to punish Tye Dillinger for getting a reaction.
