6. No. 1 Contender's Match: Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H - WrestleMania XXX
Make no mistake about it: Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H was the real main event of WrestleMania 30, regardless of where it fell on the card. The feud between those two Superstars dominated the build to the Showcase of the Immortals and, rightfully so, they battled in an emotionally fueled singles bout, a place in the Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at stake. 75,000 fans chanted "YES!" with great passion as Bryan made his way to the squared circle for the biggest, most important match of his career. For 25 minutes, Bryan and Triple H delivered a technical masterpiece. The Game targeted the previously injured shoulder of his opponent, his wife at ringside cackling with joy. But Bryan fought back, never giving up. He even kicked out of a Pedigree, proving that he would not surrender. A series of counters ensued before Bryan exploded across the squared circle and delivered a running knee to the face, putting Triple H down for three and securing his spot in the night's main event. But, as was the case for the majority of his career, Bryan would be faced with another obstacle as Triple H blasted his shoulder with a chair and sent him into the steel post, leaving Bryan's health in question. It was the first half of a two-part story that would culminate hours later.
