5. Kofi 3:16 Says Don’t You Dare Be Sour
Getting in just under the wire for this article is another dark horse. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin’s legendary 3:16 promo on Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts after winning the King Of The Ring tournament in 1996, WWE had a select few of their superstars reenact the promo to camera this week.
If you’re paying attention there, you’ll notice that certain people did a little better than others at bringing the old ‘Stone Cold’ fire. While normally I’d be biased in favour of Becky Lynch (because she’s the freakin’ greatest), I’ve got to give it to the New Day, here: specifically, to Kofi Kingston’s spot-on Austin impression, complete with accent, tone, pitch, and that rough Rattlesnake rasp.
Big E does a pretty good Dok Hendrix too, though. Nice moustache.
