12 HUGE WWE SummerSlam Predictions You Need To Know

2. Escape Clause

Jinder Mahal

As may have been evidenced merely by getting this far in the article, SummerSlam is a loaded card. Sorry, make that a bloated card. In an effort to make the August spectacular almost as big as WrestleMania, the runtime has been extended, kickoff and all, to something flirting with six hours.

It's too much wrestling for one night. Way, way too much. But it does also mean that the company can write themselves out of giving absolutely everything away, and Shinsuke Nakamura and Jinder Mahal's rivalry, having barely begun, is a long way from being over.

SmackDown Live! will return to pay-per-view in September, and will this year host the annual Hell In A Cell spectacular in October. With John Cena preparing to exit and (INSERT STRUGGLING MIDCARDER OF CHOICE HERE) nowhere near ready for a crack at Mahal's title, 'The Land Of Opportunity' hasn't really sired a credible contender, let alone worked miracles for the existing champion.

Nakamura should cooly despatch the Singh Brothers, but expect Mahal to take a count-out or disqualification loss here in the middle of the card and hopefully at least look like a paper champion than no champion at all. The match will not be good. SEE YOU NEXT MONTH!
