12 Key Moments From 2015 WWE Royal Rumble Match

3. Rusev Wasn't Eliminated Giving The Crowd Hope, But Hope Didn't Last Long

Vince most likely sent The Rock out to try to turn the crowd in Reigns' favor, and that didn't work. The Rock left the ring, and all of a sudden the crowd was actually chanting for Rusev, that should tell you something to the displeasure of the Philly crowd for having Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble. Why were they chanting for Rusev? He was never eliminated! Was this a Santino moment all over again, but with a different story? No, Reigns hit a spear and quickly dispatched of Rusev in what should have been a more dramatic final two, instead it was Reigns looking strong, just like the WWE Universe did not want. If these two even gave us 5-10 minutes for a glimmer of the possibility we could have seen the unpinned Rusev taking on the Beast Brock Lesnar would have made the ending a little more enjoyable. Instead Rusev looked weak much like other wrestlers who shouldn't have on this night.
