12 Modern WWE Monsters That Didn't Succeed

6. Sylvester Terkay

Terkay had more success as an amateur wrestler, winning four National Heavyweight titles in his career. He also wrestled Kurt Angle in 1992, losing narrowly on points 2-1. The unfriendly grimace and wild mane of hair made Terkay, who had frequently wrestled professionally as "The Predator", a big man worth keeping an eye on. Understandably, WWE came calling in 2006. Terkay was paired with former boxer Elijah Burke (TNA's Pope) as a mixed martial artist duo on the ECW brand, following a short and forgettable run on Smackdown. Terkay's most notable WWE moment came at the ECW December to Dismember, when he received faint 'TNA' chants after hitting Samoa Joe's Muscle Buster on Little Guido. Terkay quietly received his release six weeks later.
