12 Most Boring WrestleMania Matches Of All Time

1. Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg - WrestleMania XX

This should have been the greatest heavyweight match WrestleMania had ever seen. Instead, it turned out to be the worst. Stone Cold Steve Austin was even made special guest referee. How did this fail so badly? Ever since Goldberg made his debut in the company, every single member of the WWE Universe wondered who would win in a matchup between two of the most legitimate a** kickers of professional wrestling's modern era.

The bout was booked for Mania 20 after Brock interfered in the Royal Rumble to get Goldberg eliminated, who then returned the favour by costing Lesnar his WWE Title in the match against Eddie Guerrero at No Way Out.

Ultimately however, this match was a virtual non starter as the dirtsheets revealed that both men would be on their way out of WWE almost immediately following the contest.

After a perplexingly long stand off, and a series of battles of strength, a shot sequence of high impact action culminated in Goldberg going over.

Even though the dirtsheets had backed the pair into a position they could never recover from, the match they put on wouldn't have succeeded anywhere in the world, even if they were given all the respective momentum the Vince could provide.

It was far too much like a game of chess when a brawl where they openly looked to kill each other would have been sensational.

What a disappointment. Boring.
