12 Most Embarrassing Wrestler Debuts In WWE History

4. The Yeti

Before he became part of Raven's Flock, Ron Reis made his WCW debut as The Yeti. Due mostly to the fact that there are only so many gimmicks you can give a guy who's 7' 2" (and WCW only knew three of them), it helps one understand why The Yeti came to be. It still doesn't explain away the idea of introducing him inside a block of ice, claiming that he was legitimately frozen (a la Encino Man) before having him break his way out rather unceremoniously (a la The Gobbledy Gooker) wrapped in bandages like a mummy (a la...not a yeti). And remember that this debut came at a time when WCW was trying to rebrand themselves as a more realistic company with real, gritty characters. Factor in The Giant and The Yeti dry humping Hulk Hogan in the middle of the ring for about five minutes too long (it lasted fifteen seconds, but still...), and you've got yourself a calamity of epic proportions. The crowd rightfully booed the entire segment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swsVPdndk40 When people talk about how awesome the WCW was during this time, they always tend to overlook this little gem.
