Arguably THE most famous Giant on the list, if not of all time, and a globally renowned megastar of his time, boasting a decade-long undefeated run, Andre the Giant was neverthless destined for mention among these immobile stats. Despite his global acclaim, Andre's matches were never quite as captivating as the mere appearance of the behemoth of a man. Earlier in his career he may have been capable of something a bit more, but even that was woefully limited to some basic reversals and mat-work. By the time his popularity had peaked Andre had deteriorated from even that low starting point, staggering around the ring on drunken legs bashing his opponents, believably so, maybe, but agonizingly slowly either way. Difficult to appreciate outside of the context of its era, watching an Andre classic now would result in not much more than a great thankfulness that the sport has progressed past these days coupled with a bout of unexpected sleeping as you wait for Andre to find his way to his feet. His finishing moves (two of three were a splash and an elbow drop, as you may have guessed) should be seen as an act of mercy not only for his opponent, but also for the viewers.
