NXT continues to be one of the main drawing cards for the WWE Network, though there are many within the wrestling community who fear for the future of the developmental promotion. The upcoming brand split is sure to leave the roster depleted of talent and star power, so hopefully they're able to reload and fill the holes.

This particular episode is the follow up show to The End, and deals with the fallout from Samoa Joe defeating Finn Bálor in the cage. The highlight was the interaction between Finn and Shinsuke Nakamura, with the two respectfully promising a showdown in the very near future.

We also saw the in-ring debut of new tag team The Authors of Pain. The gigantic duo has an old school aesthetic similar to the bruising duos of the 1980s, and to go along with that theme have the legendary Paul Ellering as their manager.

The draw of this show is that it marks a bit of a new direction for NXT, with new characters being put into position to play big roles and the hype of a match that has fans salivating at the prospect of it.
