12 One-Time WWE Pay-Per-Views
2. Fatal 4-Way (2010)
Another failed gimmick pay-per-view, and I just can’t imagine why this would flop. After all, who doesn’t love a show with three fatal 4-ways in one show? Who isn’t inspired by the creativity? Who would dare say this is a stupid, unimaginative premise from a company completely lacking any solid ideas and is just treading water?
So yeah, there were three fatal 4-way matches on this show, with one for the Divas, World, and WWE Championships respectively. The only notable happening on what was otherwise a forgettable summer PPV was the Nexus making their PPV debut, having destroyed the RAW set weeks prior. The group beat down on Edge and John Cena, and in the midst of the commotion, Sheamus picked the remains to win his second WWE Championship.
Was Fatal 4-Way a daft concept for a PPV? Yes, but... no, that’s all there is. It was a daft concept.
