12 Reasons Brock Lesnar Made The Right Move Re-Signing With WWE

1. The Door Is Not Fully Closed on MMA

And having said all that - the door is not fully closed on one last fight for Lesnar, if he wants it. Lesnar's new WWE deal is for three years. Upon exit, he'll be 40. Many fighters have fought at 40 in the UFC, and Lesnar could if he wanted to. If you think that's crazy, consider that some in the MMA world feel the same. Chael Sonnen has suggested that you could see Lesnar back in the UFC at some point. And there's another factor here: the Ronda Rousey factor. Imagine Rousey getting a match at Wrestlemania. While under contract to the UFC. Now imagine Lesnar getting a retirement fight, against Frank Mir. While under contract to the WWE. Seems like a fair trade, really. That's probably a pipe dream, but there were rumours that Lesnar wanted a clause in his contract to allow him to do both. It's believed that he didn't get it, but renegotiations do happen. At the end of the day we have probably seen the last of Brock Lesnar, but if he really does want to come back, he probably does have the option, at some point, for one last fight.
