Fighting in MMA can take years off your career outside the octagon. While WWE wrestlers have to worry about injury just as much, if no more so, doing both is, in essence, double trouble. If Lesnar wants to remain active in the WWE well into his forties, his best bet is to just focus on his wrestling career. There's another side to this as well: leaving means he's out of storylines for, perhaps, several years. That sets him back on the wrestling side of things. Sticking around means more potential feuds, and more new fans each and every year - again, good for longevity.
