Another enjoyable part of the Angle versus Lesnar feud was the platform it offered to Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. Both men were called up to the main roster as Kurt's henchmen, with the job to make sure that Lesnar never made it to WrestleMania 19. That resulted in some genuinely great matches, including Brock Lesnar and Chris Benoit versus Team Angle at No Way Out. Benjamin and Haas were great athletic wrestlers in their own right, and had some fantastic exchanges with Lesnar. In fact, Benjamin and Lesnar had been room mates at college. It undoubtedly contributed toward a better ring awareness with each other when in WWE. They also faced off in matches on Smackdown, all of which were very entertaining. The entire Team Angle story gave Lesnar another challenge to overcome, which in turn made him look even more of a star on his road to WrestleMania 19.
