12 Reasons WWE Raw Was Better Than WrestleMania 33
2. More Consistent Pacing & Match Quality
WrestleMania is always a spectacle even when it's terrible, but was this year's show a total slog or what? The 7-hour broadcast (including the kickoff show) started off strong, but fell off a cliff in its second half and never really recovered.
Front-loading the show with so many quality matches was clearly a mistake, as it hurt both the pacing and audience interest later on. Raw, while obviously a much easier-to-book broadcast than Mania, boasted a consistently enjoyable slew of matches for the most part (though it was admittedly hard to care about Sami Zayn vs Jinder Mahal), and crucially, it was superbly paced such that audience interest never really wavered much.
