12 Reasons WWE’s Ruthless Aggression Documentary Is An Absolute Mess

3. Gratitude Era

It was quite refreshing hearing Brian Gewirtz note that much of the post-2001 output was Attitude Era-lite - the sort of sh*te that happened because the creative team were looking for excuses to be puerile rather than letting the purility occur organically.

It was an honest appraisal off the best and worst bits of the era, basically. And there was far, far too much of the latter in the Ruthless Aggression era...which this series' confusing timeline appeared to position as being bottlenecked between November 2001 and April 2002. Using clips going as far forward as 2004.

B*llocks on top of bullsh*t - half of the so-called better days the docuseries spoke (lied) about were from the exact period they were criticising. The Ruthless Aggression era, they were arguing, was somehow the fix for itself.
