11. The Backwards Booking Of Candice LeRae's Heel Turn

Remember a few months ago when Candice LeRae just suddenly snapped on poor Maxxine Dupri in the middle of an otherwise forgettable Raw tag team match?

It was all kinds of bizarre and uncomfortable.

Taking the real-life negativity Dupri had been on the receiving end of due to her performance at a WWE live event and using it to try and generate some heat, LeRae blasted her opponent with unnecessary comments like, "it's a good thing your dead brother isn't here to see what an embarrassment you've become."

In the weeks that followed that March 11 attack, though, this controversial character seemed to strangely go backwards.

Instead of dialling up the intensity and continuing down this savage path, LeRae just started to use generic tricks to cheat her way to victory in her matches, all while nudging her initially frustratingly clueless partner Indi Hartwell into heel territory.

In reality, WWE had secretly and smartly decided to pivot and move away from LeRae being the sort of character who brings up dead relatives mid-match, with that Dupri outburst reportedly not going down too well with people backstage.

And their lazy attempts to then make you forget about it and now present LeRae as Raw's newest dastardly villain by just having her use the ropes to win and target her opponent's injured limbs didn't exactly have fans raging in their seats - or even making any sound, really.

Would it have really been so hard to just push her as a plucky babyface singles star instead?
