12 Sensational UFC Bouts In March That You Must Watch
7. Sean O'Malley Vs. José Alberto Quiñónez - UFC 248
As one of the first stars to truly come from Dana White Contender Series, Sean O'Malley generated an exceptional amount of buzz prior to his UFC debut. His pothead personality mixed with his creative fighting style meant that MMA fans gravitated towards him instantly and his brief showings in the Octagon were highly impressive.
Despite his undeniable talent, a controversial USADA sanction for a prohibited substance put his UFC career on the backburner for two years. Now he's making his long awaited return to the promotion, there are plenty of questions as to how he'll look inside the Octagon after so long out.
His opponent, Jose Alberto Quinonez, has shown glimpses of his talent during his time in the UFC, but it's his losses in the Octagon that speak more to what level he's at as a fighter. While he might be able to beat the lower tier 135lbers on the roster, El Teco usually fails when he gets a step-up in competition.
Quinonez will get another chance to prove that he's upped his game, but O'Malley will hope to reintroduce fans to the Suga Show with an impressive performance in his UFC homecoming.
