12 Signs WWE Fans Should Never Get Their Own Way

2. Sting Should Have Won The WWE Title

At WWE's Night Of Champions Pay-Per-View, Sting challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. During the match, the legendary star suffered a legitimate neck injury, one that apparently threatens his in-ring career going forward. Despite all of this, there were fans genuinely disappointed that the Stinger didn't win his first WWE Title on the show. Listening to the man himself talk during a recent spate of live appearances in the UK, a title switch was never really on the cards. It's an exciting thought to imagine Sting as WWE Champion, but even Sting feels people would have been let down after the initial buzz wore off. At 56 years of age, there's really no need for the man to dethrone young champions like Rollins. Nonetheless, there are those fans who feel the title win should have happened. Any reign with the belt would have been a short one, which wouldn't have done anything for either Sting or the strap. It was far better to have Rollins emerge with the title and progress forward. The visual of seeing Sting with the WWE Title is a nifty thought, but one that's better in fantasy than execution.
