12 Stone Cold Steve Austin Moments That Were Genuinely Savage

3. Almost Killing Rikishi With a Pick Up

When Steve Austin returned after his neck surgery in 2000, he didn't wrestle for a while. Instead he was involved in a long-running segment of sabotaging matches, cutting angry promos and pissing off commissioner Foley in a war of wills, all in a bid to find out which son-of-a-bitch ran him over at Survivor Series 1999.

When Rikishi revealed himself as the culprit, Mick announced a no-holds-barred match for No Mercy 2000. It was billed to be the rule-free bloodbath Steve needed to get his 11-month-on payback. It almost backfired.

There was still virtually no wrestling. Austin rolled up in a pickup, bounced the Phat Man from pillar to post, brained him with a chair a bunch of times, and almost laid him to rest with a sledgehammer.

The most brutal act of violence however, was when Steve loaded Rikishi into his truck, drove him into a parking lot, propped him against a wall, and then legitimately attempted to smash his vehicle full force into Rikishi's defenceless body.

This act was thwarted by the police, obviously. Can you seriously imagine the result if it wasn't?
