12 Terrible Wrestling Returns That Should Have Been Great

3 & 2. Kevin Nash & Scott Hall - 2002

Together, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash gave the the entire wrestling industry an Outsider's Edge followed up by a Jackknife Powerbomb when they left the WWF for WCW in 1996.

They helped the business explode to unprecedented levels, and made wrestling cool to watch again. After WCW folded in 2001, a WWE return for the duo sounded awesome, but seemed like wishful thinking. Well, the wish did come true, but it was far from awesome. It was more of a nightmare than anything.

After the initial excitement of the reunited NWO wore off, the group crumbled. Hall and Hogan lost their matches at WrestleMania, Nash was soon injured and Hall's only other pay-per-view match with the company was against Bradshaw. He was then fired. All those dream matches were gone. All those mountains of cash to be made disappeared.

Nash had another lousy return in him nine years later (!) when he was inserted into the CM Punk/Triple H storyline. Hall never wrestled for the company again. And if it wasn't for Hogan's classic with The Rock at Mania, he would be joining his brothers on this list.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
