12 Terrible Wrestling Returns That Should Have Been Great

Trish vs. Beth Phoenix or Natalya in 2011 seemed like a good idea for a WrestleMania match. Trish teaming with John Morrison and Snooki was a complete waste of her time.

In 2006, Stratus effectively called it a career after a match against Lita at Unforgiven. The next couple years, she took part in three tag matches which were basically one-offs. Then in 2011, she returned once more, this time with a match set for WrestleMania.

But her return was a bit of a failure in part due to being over-shadowed by the returning Rock, and due in part to the inclusion of Snooki. Instead of being featured, Trish was playing a supporting role to a reality TV star. To top it all off, the match may be most well-remembered for her partner Morrison refusing to hug her after the match, because his girlfriend Melina was upset about Trish's inclusion at the show, and not a full-time woman wrestler.

Soon after, Trish left again, and fans were left without much Stratusfaction, as the former Women's Champion didn't get the send off she deserved.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
