The Dudley Boyz return to the WWE after a decade away was so lame, it made you want to put yourself through a table.

Together, Bubba Ray and D-Von have formed one of the greatest tag teams of all time. They had a successful career in WWE, but were let go in 2005 and then headed over to TNA.

Ten years later, they were ready for their WWE return, which seemed like an exciting possibility. Bubba had revitalized his career as Brother Ray, and one last run with his brother against a new generation of tag teams could have been a lot of fun. It ended up as an absolute letdown.

The nostalgia for the two ran out quickly, and without a deep tag division (or a brand split at the time) they ran through every team quickly, and were booked in countless, uninteresting rematches. With little mic time, and no real storylines to take part in, they sank to the bottom of the division. Beating the future hall of fame team soon meant absolutely nothing.

All the hot feuds they should have had were lackluster, and the Dudley magic seemed to be gone. While neither man was in bad ring shape, something just did not click this time around. It would be a bit of a shame if this is how the two went out on the national scene.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
