Heyman confirmed that Brock Lesnar will return for SummerSlam on August 21st, reaffirming that he's not done with WWE. But could the UFC result shape booking in the future? If he wins, and if he buy up rate gets the kind of uplift Paul Heyman seems to be suggesting is inevitable, is Dana White really going to give up the opportunity for more? Is Brock Lesnar for that matter?

And more importantly for Vince McMahon and WWE's fans, will the result of UFC affect what happens at SummerSlam and his booking moving forward?

"In today's day and age, anything can affect forward movement in sports, let alone in WWE. I think just in terms of an overall picture, everything affects you... When you're at Brock Lesnar's level of being a box office attraction everything affects what you're going to be doing at the next appearance because anything can throw you off course. And the same thing goes for John Cena and the same thing goes for Roman Reigns and the same thing goes for Seth Rollins, just like the same thing goes for Ronda Rousey and Connor McGregor and Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier."

That's a lot of words to say something entirely expected: the fight's outcome will affect Lesnar. But what about SummerSlam in particular?

"The result of this fight... how will it affect SummerSlam? Hopefully it will make Brock Lesnar an even bigger star on a global basis and drive a whole bunch of fans back to WWE or over to WWE for August 21st SummerSlam."
