11. Growing Up Huge & Playing Football
Steve wants to know if Braun was always a big kid and he replies that when he graduated high school at 17 years of age he was 6'5" and 315 pounds.
Austin said that probably made the football coach drool and wanted to know if he played, and he says that he missed the first two years of high school because he was ineligible due to poor grades, which led to him not getting a chance to play in college.
He played semi-pro football for four years in North Carolina and attended the NFL combine in 2007, where he had pretty good numbers but no teams expressed any real interest due to the lack of college experience.
He had some offers to play arena football but it was nothing that was compelling enough for him to want to pursue.
