12 Things We Learned From WWE Hall Of Fame 2016

2. No Holds Barred Is Apparently A "Classic" Movie

During the tribute video for Stan Hansen ahead of his speech, the announcer noted that he appeared in the "1989 classic" No Holds Barred, the infamously awful wrestling movie starring Hulk Hogan and Tiny Lister (aka Zeus), leading to an almost equally bad pay-per-view of the same name later that year.

Perhaps the WWE felt obligated to try and sell the movie as a classic even though it's rocking an outrageously bad 11% on Rotten Tomatoes and is reviled even by hardcore wrestling fans. Or perhaps it was supposed to come off as tongue-in-cheek but fell totally flat?

Or maybe it was just a good opportunity to make fun of Hulk Hogan's dodgy acting career, not that he's seen or mentioned in the clips from the movie.
