12 Things You May Have Missed From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jun 4)
3. Out With The Rulebook
The Riott Squad faced Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, and Ember Moon in a six-woman tag last night, and it was solid. Though nothing you need to go out of your way to see, the work was of a decent standard and Moon looked impressive once again, but the finish was horrendous.
Bliss predictably bailed on her partners early on. Moon and Banks fought two-on-three for a while, until Bayley showed up out of nowhere, tagged herself into the match, and hit her finisher. Referee John Cone, who seemingly doesn't understand basic wrestling rules, then counted the three, and awarded the babyface trio the victory with a big, dopey look on his face.
Bayley's interference should have provoked a disqualification there and then, and to make matters worse, it took a heel to point this out. Revelling in his new authority role, Baron Corbin convinced Kurt Angle to overturn the outcome. This "solved" the problem, but it was one that never should've happened in the first place, as this almighty logic leap only left the Houston audience bewildered.
Less of this, please...
