Ex-TNA group The Rascalz were confirmed as Tony Khan's newest signings just a few short days ago. Now, one member has already left the promotion - Trey Miguel won't join his buddies Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier or Myron Reed on episodes of AEW Dynamite and Collision going forwards.

Since then, Miguel has lifted the lid via his official X account to explain what's going on. According to Trey's post, he's "made a lot of mistakes in [his] time", but has tried his "best to put a better foot forward after". Then, he went on to say he's one to "believe in forgiveness and only ever preach that".

The whole thing has left many scratching their heads.

Rumours are rife on social media, but Bryan Alvarez of The Wrestling Observer claimed via Sunday's Wrestling Observer Radio that the decision to cut Miguel loose came from somewhere even higher up the food chain than Khan. That piqued some interest, because...Tony Khan is the boss of AEW, so Alvarez must've been talking about somebody from All Elite's media partner Warner Bros Discovery.

After all, who else would he be talking about? There surely can't be many who have more sway over what happens in AEW than Khan. The Observer did draw attention to some regrettable comments Trey previously made on Facebook and Twitter/X between 2019-2020.

It's also unclear whether or not this will affect the other trio in The Rascalz. They'll be a man down when making their All Elite debuts, that's for sure.
