Just weeks after Angle's title victory, the thinkable happened - Lesnar turned on his new friend, joining forces with Vince McMahon to ambush Angle and once again become SmackDown's resident monster. That led to a one-on-one rematch between the two men at SummerSlam.

Though there was no official stipulation to this match, it would end up taking a far different form than their epic WrestleMania bout. This time, Lesnar was looking to take shortcuts wherever he could, whether fleeing from the ring or relying on interference from Vince McMahon. In fact, McMahon hit Angle with a chair at one point, but as the referee was down, there was no disqualification called.

In the end, it was all for naught. After he neutralized McMahon, Angle was able to reverse an F5 attempt into a Ankle Lock hold. With nowhere to go, Lesnar was forced to tap out for the first time in his WWE career, marking his most decisive loss up until that point.
