12 Times Wrestlers Failed To Make It Into The Royal Rumble Match

11. Bastion Booger - 1994

Booger was arguably the most disgusting WWE superstar in history, a man whose gimmick was that he was a slovenly hunchback who ate all the time. Go print that money, Vince! Given that, he was never going to win the 1994 Royal Rumble and go on to headline WrestleMania, but that doesn't make it any less sad that he was all out denied the chance by a poorly timed bout of food poisoning.

Booger was scheduled to be the 25th entrant in the 1994 Royal Rumble, but he never made it. The storyline explanation for his absence was that he overate and fell victim to food poisoning, but the truth was that Booger simply no-showed. Eight months later, Booger was gone from the company.

Did you know that Bastion Booger actually owns a clean pinfall victory over none other than Owen Hart. I'm talking prime peak Owen Hart too, not even High Energy Owen Hart. Maybe that WrestleMania main event was in the offing after all...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
