What He Was/Is: Another one of the stars of the X-Division in the early years of the company, as well as one-third of one of the companys greatest tag teams in Triple X. After leaving for a few years, he's currently the X-Division Champion, but only because Samoa Joe was injured and had to forfeit the title. What He Should Have Been: A main-eventer. There is no one like Low Ki in all of wrestling. His offense is brutally realistic, he has a distinct aura about him, and he has perhaps the most unique voice in the business! Granted, Ki isnt the easiest guy to work with behind-the-scenes in wrestling, but perhaps his poor push in the major companies has something to do with that. WWE doesnt employ a lot of shorter men, because theyre often still stuck in the 1980s mentality of muscle bound monsters. And when they do have shorter guys (Daniel Bryan) theyre endlessly mocked on-air for it. TNA could have pushed Ki as a giant killer. He looks like he legitimately could be. Instead, they went with the expendable mid-carder route. Well, thats one way to push a wrestler. Probably not the best way, but a way.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
