5. Okada
What He Was: For some bizarre reason, he was cast as the Kato to Samoa Joes Green Hornet. It was all kinds of stupid.
What He Should Have Been: An international star. One of the dumber things that WWE does is often portray wrestlers from other countries as idiots (Santino, Kenzo Suzuki, The Great Khali), as evil mainly because theyre not from America (Rusev, Kozlov, La Resistance) or as stereotypical offensive caricatures (The Mexicools, Los Matadores, El Matador). Theyre alienating themselves to millions of potential fans. This would be one area where TNA could differentiate themselves in a positive way. For Japanese wrestling fans, they have no one stateside to be proud of on one of the main rosters. Okada could have potentially brought in a new audience, making the company more popular overseas. As weve seen now, hes tearing it up in NJPW and is one of the most entertaining wrestlers on the planet. You have to wonder if anyone in the company to this day realizes that they made a mistake with how he was pushed.
