6. Best Friends Keep Rising

Best Friends Orange Cassidy
AEW

The Butcher and The Blade vs. Best Friends was exactly what it needed to be and benefitted from a slick set-up in last week's battle royal, with The Butcher eliminating Trent and The Bunny ending Orange Cassidy's child-bearing days on the outside.

'Freshly Squeezed' sold the PAC punch by walking out clutching his jaw. Early on, The Butcher and The Blade shone, slowly breaking Trent down to parts after knocking Chuck Taylor off the apron. A couple of nasty-looking whiplash bumps off the rope drew sympathy for the former Beretta, whose defensive performer gave the heels a chance to show what they can do in a traditionally-structured tag setting. They looked good in control and while clearly green, The Butcher is a riot to watch.

Cassidy and The Bunny took centre stage with everybody else wiped out, but OC blocked her nutshot this time. This bit was ridiculously over. The crowd really came alive for it and with a suicide dive to The Butcher, Cassidy facilitated his team's victory. The Strong Zero put The Blade away for the win.
