12 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jul 22)

Taz Brian Cage
AEW

The obvious, chickensh*t route for AEW to take following Taz's towel-throwing would be Brian Cage disowning him on Dynamite, ending their association. Fortunately, the promotion went elsewhere.

Taz claimed the duo had argued and bickered a lot over the past week, with Cage coming close to relieving him of his services, though cooler heads prevailed. Throwing in the towel was a business decision. Taz felt that the longer Moxley had Brian's surgically-repaired arm trap, the closer the bicep came to being torn, and he stands by it. Cage wasn't going to tap because he has the FTW mindset. Taz was looking out for 'The Machine' because he cares about his client, not because he has a weak stomach.

This led to the inevitable Darby Allin appearance, though he was neutralised by Cage and Ricky Starks, who joined forces with 'The Machine' and Taz on this week's Dark. Jon Moxley made the save with a barbwire baseball bat and it looks like we've got a tag bout on our hands.

Effective booking and a typically great Taz promo. An easy Up.
