12 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (November 8 - Results & Review)

Ups…

12. Orange Cassidy & Jon Moxley Go Up The Gears

Wheeler Yuta Jon Moxley
AEW

A lot of bad things in AEW are as result of the company going cold in 2023 and failing, repeatedly, to arrest an obvious creative decline that has impacted just about every aspect of the television product. An Orange Cassidy/Jon Moxley International Championship rematch shouldn't have needed the clean-up job it got here, but we are where we are and the pair at long last made sense of the muddled road between All Out and next week's Full Gear showdown.

Cassidy wasn't messing around nor mincing his words - he admitted the belt felt hollow in his hands because he hadn't beaten Moxley for it. In response, Moxley expressed his exasperation that 'Freshly Squeezed' dare even try to fight him again after what went down the last time he faced.

Hilariously showing more care for Wheeler Yuta's sensibilities than Hangman Page did for his own child's security (but more on that later, at last!), Mox framed bloodying up the Champion as an important lesson for the BCC's rookie member.

The heel/babyface dynamic could do with tightening up, still, but this week in particular was the closest the feud came to making the sort of sense it should have all along.
