12 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 11)

7. The Man In The Blindspot

JR Jon Moxley
AEW

Jon Moxley was brutally assaulted by The Inner Circle at the end of last week's Dynamite. Not only did the heels beat him up before his scheduled main event, but they continued the attack after Darby Allin had fallen to Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara, chucking him off the stage with a Shield-style Triple Powerbomb. As a result, he wasn't even cleared to be in the building last night - let alone compete.

Keeping him away from the action was smart and helped sell the damage. Mox was made to settle for a sitdown interview with Jim Ross instead, and it was as well-done as you'd expect.

JR is always great in this role and while Mox was feeling "bent out of shape and p*ssed off," he still came off like a man in complete control of his situation as he dared Jake Hager to "step into the batter's box" and mount an AEW World Title challenge. From there, he promised to not miss Blood and Guts, saying he was in the Inner Circle's blindspot while they were dealing with The Elite, and they should be afraid.

Good stuff here, covering multiple topics and storylines in a single interview. Here's to Moxley eventually replacing somebody in the Blood and Guts match...
