12 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 5)

10. Chuck Taylor, Brutalised

PAC Chuck Taylor
AEW

Chuck Taylor vs. PAC was a step or two beneath the latter's wonderful, wonderful clash with Orange Cassidy at Revolution, but that was to be expected. That was a unique pay-per-view match; this was a regular TV showdown.

Taylor enjoyed plenty of time in control here. This was put over by the announcers as a product of PAC's tough week, with 'The Bastard' facing Kenny Omega in a gruelling Iron Man match before wrestling Cassidy at the pay-per-view. An effective way of legitimising Chuck's spells on top, though the Best Friend was regularly cut off by his d*ckhead opponent, who was as nasty as you'd expect when grinding Taylor down on the outside.

Watching PAC's sublime heel work is almost an Up in itself but he gave Chuckie T. plenty, kicking out of the Awful Waffle for a close near-fall. That was the end of Taylor. A missed Moonsault opened the window for the Brutaliser and the verbal submission, giving 'The Bastard' another W over the babyface troupe of Best Friends and 'Freshly Squeezed.'
