12 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Mar 5)

8. Ricochet & Black's Winning Ways Continue

Aleister Black and Ricochet's winning form continued last night, as the recent NXT call-ups followed-up on last week's win over Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev by besting The Bar in a similar midcard bout.

It was roughly on the same level as last week. Though they still feel thrown-together, Black and Ricochet mesh well in the ring, and Cesaro and Sheamus are one of WWE's most tenured teams. Put them in the ring with minimal instructions and they'll almost certainly deliver. It's that easy.

Though too short to be anything great, a strong closing stretch saw Aleister hit a desperation Black Mass, follow up with a tope, before 'The Future Of Flight' scored the win with his 630 splash. These guys are rolling. They still don't have much of a reason to be hanging out together other than "we came from the same place at the same time" (can you imagine them hanging out together backstage?), but they're outstanding between the ropes, and they should fit SmackDown's action-centric tag division well going forward.

Provided they aren't split in the upcoming Superstar Shake-Up, that is.
