12 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Bash At The Beach (Jan 15)
2. Production Problems... Again
We keep bringing this up every single week so yes, it probably isn't the most exciting thing to read about anymore, but the production issues blighting AEW's televised product keep rearing their head. When they do, it's only fair that they're pointed out.
Jon Moxley's entrance music not playing through the TV mixing desk after driving his car into the arena was odd, and Justin Roberts' microphone came in mid-sentence as 'The Death Rider' was on his way to the ring. When Chris Jericho cut his promo on Mox, the microphone cut in and out, resulting in a choppy feed. Maddeningly, the producers went screen-in-screen for MJF's match-winning pin on QT Marshall. Backstage segments still feel low-rent.
Producing live television sounds like a tough, tough job, but NXT isn't making these mistakes - and that's the show Dynamite should be compared to every week. On a production level, the comparison isn't flattering AEW at times.
