12 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Feb 5)

1. The Dark Order: Forever Undermined?

The Dark Order
AEW

The Dark Order's beatdown of Best Friends and SoCal Uncensored made sense, as they've been trying to recruit Christopher Daniels and warned they'd be targeting his stable starting this week. It was Grayson, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver administering the hammering while Evil Uno called the shots until CD eventually ran down... and the Dark Order backed off, not wanting to bludgeon a potential recruit.

It's all very logical, but it has become impossible to treat The Dark Order as a threat. Reynolds and Silver are jobbers who have never won a match in this promotion. Grayson and Uno, meanwhile, feel as imposing as elderly koala bears at times. Those fun vignettes are cool and all (there was one of them on this very show, in fact), but they mean little if the group don't feel threatening in the real world - and they don't.

There may be no saving the maligned stable. This angle was flatter than month-old Sprite.
