12. Take It Lying Down

SoCal Uncensored vs Best Friends was framed as a Tag Team Title eliminator. Both tandems were on a nice little roll, having won their previous bouts, so they met with the hope of climbing the rankings and potentially challenging Kenny Omega and Hangman Page - as the winners, SCU, will do next week.

It's hard to imagine a scenario in which these two veteran teams have a bad match and while this was more solid than spectacular, there's little to criticise. Well-paced and full of good action, it drew laughs as Orange Cassidy decided to take it easy and lie down alongside the fallen wrestlers after they'd been wiped out. Silly, but not too silly, and it did nothing to detract from the bout.

This decent little scrap concluded with SoCal Uncensored hitting their kick/Code Red combination for the victory, with JR pinning the blame on Best Friends for taking too long with their hug spot. He was right. Regardless, Scorpio Sky, Frankie Kazarian, Trent, and Chuck Taylor delivered to the expected level here.
