12 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Oct 2)

10. Brandon The Broken

MJF successfully p*ssed off every dice-roller on the internet with his c*nty D&D tweet a few weeks ago. Brandon Cutler, who has one of the game's big nerdy dice on his only AEW t-shirt, had the opportunity to shut him up in a match that MJF responded to with a spit-laugh in a hilarious Road To skit. Did he pull it off? Did he smash the jock and score one for nerd culture?

No. No he didn't, but he did show flashes of fire.

The crowd lit up as Cutler dove to the outside then merked MJF with ground and pound. His opponent, meanwhile, reached deep into his bag of heel tricks, screaming "look into the camera and tell your kids you're a bum!" while wrenching the arm. There was some good, good stuff in this short match.

The finish was nice and swift, ensuring the bout didn't overstay its welcome. Cutler wobbled on the top rope. He was having trouble with his knee and the announcers put it over like he'd hurt himself on the tope. Agonised, Brandon made his way across to his opponent but was a wounded animal at this point, and easy pickings for MJF's submission game. He tapped out after just a few minutes to keep the show rolling at a nice, brisk pace, with MJF looking great in victory.
