12 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill 2021

Downs...

4. Piped-In Crowd Noise

Throughout the no crowd era, the main thing that has separated Impact Wrestling from WWE and AEW is that the Impact Zone has remained a silent arena. The WWE ThunderDome/Capitol Wrestling Center, and AEW's massively reduced fan capacity helped add some level of life to those shows, while Impact has opted to have only the commentary to add that layer of life.

Until Hard To Kill, where they have added in pre-recorded crowd noise to their shows. Whether this will be a feature going forward remains to be seen.

It's not the answer to Impact's entirely empty arena. The shows haven't suffered from the lack of fan interaction. If anything, Impact Wrestling has gone above and beyond to ensure their empty arena events are must-see pro wrestling shows. They didn't need to have fake crowd noise.

If nothing else, it takes away from the show ever so slightly. A shame, really.
